Vinos Los Quiscos was founded in 2005 by Ximena Alejandra Arias Medina and Juan Carlos Faundez Victoriano. Since its inception, the company has focused on the production of organic wines, obtaining international certifications for NOP (U.S.), EU (European Union), and JAS (Japan), as well as the national Chilean certification.

Juan Faundez – Co-Founder
In 2010, the company began acquiring organic grapes from Agrícola Afmapu Limitada, owned by Juan Carlos Faundez, and launched Los Quiscos, a blend of 9 varieties that became a distinctive product in Chile. In 2013, we obtained the JAS certification for organic production from Agrícola Afmapu. In 2017, we introduced Trancoyán, an organic País wine from the Itata Valley, sourced from vineyards over 150 years old.
Currently, Abtao is dedicated to the marketing of organic and conventional wines in the domestic market and the export of bulk wines in the Reserva, Gran Reserva, and Premium categories, as well as a wide range of bottled varieties.
Vineyards: We source grapes from a wide range of Chilean valleys, from the Aconcagua Valley to the Malleco Valley, working with an extensive variety of grapevines. The vineyards are located in soils that range from granitic to alluvial, allowing for a unique expression of the terroir.
Vinification: We lease winemaking, production, and storage services in five wineries located in the Casablanca, Maipo, Curicó, and Itata valleys, ensuring an optimal production process. Sixty percent of the wine goes through French barrels, with the remaining time spent in bottles to ensure quality and stability.
Certifications: In addition to NOP, EU, and JAS certifications, we also hold certifications for the Chinese market, ensuring that our wines meet international export standards.
Environmental and Social Commitment: We are committed to protecting the environment through sustainable practices, efficient resource use, and waste recycling. We also promote the training of our workers and convey to our suppliers our commitment to organic farming.
